HEAVEN"
WEST VIRGINIA
Railroads in the Mountain State

The railroads of West Virginia are worth a visit.
|
The photographs included in this web are from a brief visit to WVA in Fall, 2004. Visiting the railroads in this state was a pleasure, the people friendly and the trains ran "on time". Each operation included here was worth the visit and highly recommended. All of these rail lines are located fairly close together and allow a visitor to easily travel between them. In fact, other historic rail lines could easily be combined in the same visit; places such as the Western Maryland Scenic RR in Cumberland, MD or the East Broad Top Narrow-Gauge RR in Orbisonia, PA. Anytime is good but fall
is just that much more magical |
