Southern Tier Model Railroad Club
Binghamton, New York region

NKP 765 leads a westbound NRHS special over Conrail's Southern Tier line on August 2, 1988.  Train is passing under
the historic Erie coaling tower at Oakland, PA.  Note the Erie herald on the auxiliary tender.  Next stop - Binghamton.

The Southern New York Model Railroad Club had its beginnings back in 1956.  Its main focus then was on the New York
Southern Tier and Northeastern Pennsylvania modelers.  The main "headquarters" have been in the Binghamton area;
total membership hovers around 60.  We held our 50th Anniversary event in 2006.  Dinner meetings are held at
dates and places to be announced during the months of September, November, January, March and May.
Our March meeting is generally dedicated to the Annual Model Train and Railroadiana Auction.
Annual dues are $5.00.  Our newsletter name is THE SEMAPHORE.

The club is home to many model railroaders whose skills range from master modeler to novice.  All are welcome in
this organization.  For more information on the club, contact Dick Goodnough at rjgoodnough@yahoo.com.
