Genesee Valley Transportation owns and operates five separate shortline railroads in New York and Pennsylvania.  The locomotives of the GVT system are an interesting roster of units, well-maintained by the companies shop facility located in South Scranton, PA.  Units may move from one location to another as they are serviced and shopped.

NOTE:  GVT shop is capable of rebuilding locomotives for other railroads and private individuals.  Shop is extremely experienced in Alco products.  Locomotives such as former Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia/CN M630 #2029 and former VIA/CN FPA #6763, as well as others have been shipped and are stored on GVT property.  Stored locomotives are not shown on this GVT roster.
