Amtrak's New York State train service is westbound in late afternoon on Conrail [CSX] near Lyons, New York on a wintry and
blustery day December 30, 1987.  A recent snow squall left an inch of fresh snow for it to kick up!

Amtrak operates throughout New York State with trackage from New York City north along the Hudson River to
Albany-Rensselaer and west to Buffalo over CSX.  It also operates north to Vermont and Quebec over CP/D&H
and eastward from Albany through Massachusetts to Boston, etc.  Electrified corridor traffic out of NYC
also runs east to Boston through Connecticut and south to Philadelphia and points beyond.
