The Lowville & Beaver River Railroad operates from a connection with the Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern RR in Lowville to Croghan, NY, a distance of 10 miles.

Genesee Valley Transportation owns and controls both railroads, operating MA&N Alco locomotives and L&BR GE 44 tonners.  The small shay locomotive is owned by the Railway Historical Society
 of Northern New York but not operational
 at present time.
