Favorite Cab Units
Photography & comment by Tom Trencansky

Cab units were the streamlined locomotives of the 1940's
and 1950's.  Most railroads had versions of them and by
the time that I began photographing trains in the early
1970's, many were facing retirement.  Several examples
have survived and the following views are
 some favorites from various trips.
