Cass Scenic Railroad
Railfan Weekend

Photographs by Tom Trencansky

The Cass Scenic is a special place and the State of West Virginia
keeps the railroad operating well.  As most fans know, the
locomotives generally push the train up the hill which
requires each to be facing nose first to the cars.

Several times per year the railroad operates special events that
will operate the trains with locomotive clear.  Check the
railroad's website for future dates.  The attached views were
all made "a few years ago" but are similar
to what you might expect today.
